Sun Chemical Strategic Partnership
Sun Chemical is the largest pigment, ink and coatings manufacturer in the world. Our partnership with Sun Chemical has allowed us to utilize their green initiatives in a way that helps us to reduce our carbon footprint. Sun Chemical’s upgraded efficient lighting and ability to lower electrical demand during peak times, allows us to access a full service and fully staffed maintenance department with the ability to help us with downed equipment and relocation of equipment for optimal workflow.
By the end of 2017 solar panels will be installed that will generate more than 30 percent of the energy PCG consumes to power the facility. The solar panels will utilize rooftop and carport photovoltaic arrays. The end result is a solar installation that will produce around 1.1 million kilowatt-hours of electricity per year, enough energy to power 90 homes.
